The state of Maine issues both resident and non-resident permits.

Maine concealed carry permits are honored in the 23 states listed below:

• Alabama
• Alaska(must be 21 or older)
• Arizona(must be 21 or older)
• Delaware
• Florida (resident permit only) (Does not honor 18- 20 year old permits)
• Georgia
• Idaho
• Iowa(must be 21 or older)
• Kansas(must be 21 or older)
• Kentucky
• Louisiana
• Michigan (resident permit only)
• Mississippi
• Missouri
• Nebraska(must be 21 or older) (Does not honor 18- 20 year old permits)
• New Hampshire
• North Carolina
• North Dakota(must be 21 or older)
• Ohio
• Oklahoma
• Utah
• Vermont
• Virginia(must be 21 or older and Possess government issued ID)
• Wyoming

Keep in mind that if carrying in another state, you must adhere to that state's laws, including age requirement for concealed carry.

The State of Maine accepts all Concealed Carry Permits from other states. If you have a valid permit from your home state, Maine will honor it.
