The state of Louisiana will only issue permits to residents, with the exception of active military stationed in Louisiana.
Louisiana concealed carry permits are honored in the 37 states listed below:

- Colorado (residents only)
- Florida (residents only)
- Georgia
- Idaho
- Indiana
- Iowa
- Kansas
- Kentucky
- Maine
- Michigan (resident permit only)
- Minnesota

- Nevada
- New Hampshire
- North Carolina
- North Dakota
- Ohio
- Oklahoma
- Pennsylvania (resident permit only)
- South Carolina (resident permit only)
- South Dakota
- Tennessee
- Texas

- Virginia
- Washington
- West Virginia
- Wisconsin (only permits issued or renewed after 3/9/15)
- Wyoming
Keep in mind that if carrying in another state, you must adhere to that state's laws, including age requirement for concealed carry.
