As of September 2023, adults who are legally able to carry a firearm are able to participate in Nebraska conceal carry without a permit. Nebraska has retained its concealed carry permitting system though, allowing residents who wish to carry in reciprocating states to do so.
Regardless of the law, we recommend that anyone who intends to participate in Nebraska conceal carry take a firearms training course covering topics that are essential for all firearm owners to know. Owning and carrying a firearm is an enormous responsibility, so being aware of firearm safety principles and your state and local laws is a critical part of being a law-abiding citizen.
If you’re wondering “Where can I find in-person or online CCW classes near me?” then Concealed Coalition is here for you.
Our state-specific courses are taught by a team of trainers across the country who are well-versed in all things firearms. In class, you’ll not only learn about topics like safe firearm handling, storage, and operation, but you’ll also receive an overview of relevant state and local laws in your area. The training team works hard to keep this information up-to-date, so you can feel confident knowing that you’re receiving relevant information that will help you remain a law-abiding citizen.
Trainers also pose questions and simulations based on real-life scenarios to challenge students throughout class. Utilizing this experiential learning method allows students to stay more engaged during class and retain the information long after the class is over.
Once you pass the training course, you’ll receive your concealed carry certification. This can be used as proof of completion of a training course when you apply for your permit through the Nebraska State Patrol Concealed Handgun Permit Program.
As one of our students from a class in Omaha said simply, “Great instructors. Easy to follow program. Well worth the money and time.”
